Ingredients: Eggs, almonds, sugar, oranges, dried cranberries, orange blossom water, baking powder, low-sodium salt, apricot jam. Trace amount of canola oil used to prevent sticking.
Approx 22 cm x 9 cm x 5cm, 550g, serves 6-8, per loaf.
Bright, sun-ripened oranges, finely ground almonds, and jewel-like cranberries come together in this tender flourless loaf. Made with whole oranges, the cake captures the fruit's vibrant aroma and sunny citrus notes, yielding a crumb that is exceptionally moist, soft, and full of flavour.
A splash of orange blossom water lends a whisper of floral fragrance, while a delicate brush of apricot glaze enhances the orange notes and imparts a gentle sheen. Studded with sweet-tart cranberries, each slice is fragrant, softly textured, and beautifully balanced—a cake that invites lingering over a cup of tea and reaching for just one more slice.
No pork, no lard, no alcohol. Gluten and dairy free. Sugar-free option uses maltitol. To avoid digestive discomfort, enjoy no more than 1/5 of the cake a day. Best served at room temperature.
